In 2014, Daesh unleashed its genocidal campaign against Christians, Yazidis, and other religious minorities aiming the destruction of the groups from the region. On 3 August 2014, Daesh massacred thousands of Yazidis in Sinjar, Iraq. The same fate has met Christians and other religious minorities in Syria and Iraq. Many people were killed or abducted; tens of thousands were forced to flee. Ninevah Plains in Iraq became the ghost region hunted by Daesh.
As Daesh continues to perpetrate genocide against Christians, Yazidis, and other religious minorities, the international community watches on without responding adequately. While military actions and humanitarian assistance are under way, no legal steps have been taken to investigate the crimes and prosecute the perpetrators.
This inaction is unacceptable.
As urgent steps are needed to end impunity, your support is crucial.
